Keep Files on your computer:
- open your OneDrive folder.
- Right-click a file/folder
- Select the "always keep on this device" option.
- This will download the files from the server and keep a local copy on your computer which can still be used when disconnected from the internet.
- This works for "file on demand" or OneDrive shortcuts
Backup your Desktop:
- Right-click your OneDrive Icon in the taskbar and select settings
- Click on the backup tab and Click Manage Backup
Save space on your computer:
- On Windows 10 or later, you can enable "files on demand" to allow OneDrive to store files on the cloud without using space on your computer.
- To enable "file on demand" Right-click your OneDrive Icon in the taskbar and select settings
- Click on the settings tab and click the box that says "save space and download files as you use them"
